The spawning of the sea cucumber Holothuria spilota was observed at a depth of 8 m on the sandy seagrass-covered bottom of Baie des Citrons in Noumea (New Caledonia) on December 25, 2002. The water surface temperature was 27.2°C. This event is illustrated by a photograph.
