  abstract = {{T}he scientific meeting on the {D}ynamics and {U}ses of {S}ardinella {R}esources from {U}pwelling off {G}hana and {C}{\^o}te d'{I}voire ({DUSRU}) was held in {A}ccra from 5-8 october, 1993. {I}t was jointly organised by {ORSTOM}, the {F}isheries {R}esearch and {U}tilization {B}ranch ({FRUB}) of {G}hana and {C}entre de {R}echerches {O}ceanologiques ({CRO})of {C}{\^o}te d'{I}voire. {S}ome support was provided by the {F}ood and {A}griculture {O}rganisation ({FAO}), {R}ome and its {R}egional {O}ffice for {A}frica ({RAFR}), {A}ccra. {T}he main objective of the meeting was to bring together scientists and users of the fishery resources referred to as small pelagic, notably the sardinellas. {T}his coastal resource is shared by {C}{\^o}te {I}voire, {G}hana, and to a lesser extent, {T}ogo and the {R}epublic of {B}enin.
