%X Contrairement à l'Afrique, les femmes en Océanie occupent une place marginale dans la valorisation des produits de la pêche. Dans ce rapport sont successivement présentés les techniques de fumage, de séchage et de salage du poisson susceptibles d'être introduites au Vanuatu. Sont ensuite discutées les contraintes s'opposant à cette introduction et les bénéfices nutritifs et économiques qu'en retireraient les populations villageoises, l'accent étant mis sur le rôle des femmes dans cette activité.
