@article{fdi:010093679, title = {{M}onograph of tribe {S}ipaneeae ({R}ubiaceae, {I}xoroideae) : a neotropical group with its center of diversity on the {G}uiana {S}hield}, author = {{D}elprete, {P}iero}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{S}teyermarkia (1 sp.), for a total of 44 species. {T}his tribe has its center of diversity on the {G}uiana {S}hield (northern {S}outh {A}merica), where 9 of the 10 genera occur. {O}nly {S}ipanea and {L}imnosipanea are also present on the {B}razilian {S}hield and the {O}rinoquía {R}egion with a total of 4 species, while {S}teyermarkia, {S}ipanea and {L}imnosipanea are present in {C}entral {A}merica with one species each. {T}he genera {S}ipaneopsis, {C}halepophyllum, and {D}endrosipanea are endemic to white sand areas of the {A}mazon {B}asin. {T}he habit in the tribe {S}ipaneeae ranges from herbs (terrestrial, amphibian or rarely aquatic), subshrubs, shrubs to treelets. {W}ithin the tribe, {C}halepophyllum, {D}endrosipanea, {N}eobertiera, {P}teridocalyx and {S}ipanea are heterostylous, while the other genera are homostylous. {S}everal recent articles have been dedicated to the description of new species in this tribe, and only {L}imnosipanea spruceana var. macrantha is newly described here. {I}n the present work 21 names are newly typified; a list of these names is present at the end of the taxonomic treatment. {F}or all the taxa of this tribe, full synonymy, typification, description, ecological observations, geographic distribution, illustrations, {IUCN} conservation assessment, and cited specimens are provided.}, keywords = {{GUYANE} {FRANCAISE}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{W}ebbia}, volume = {77}, numero = {1}, pages = {1--284}, ISSN = {0083-7792}, year = {2022}, DOI = {10.36253/jopt-13963}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010093679}, }
