@article{fdi:010093341, title = {{B}ridging the gap : translating and simplifying {CFIR} 2.0 for {F}rench practitioners in implementation science}, author = {{P}ellet, {J}. and {P}ouzols, {S}. and {R}idde, {V}al{\'e}ry and {M}abire, {C}.}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{B}ackground{T}he {C}onsolidated {F}ramework for {I}mplementation {R}esearch ({CFIR}) 2.0 is widely used in implementation projects but can be difficult for non-researchers to apply due to its complexity. {W}hile a {F}rench version of the original {CFIR} exists, {CFIR} 2.0 had not yet been translated. {T}his study aimed to translate and simplify {CFIR} 2.0 for healthcare practitioners in {F}rench-speaking {S}witzerland to improve its accessibility and utility.{M}ethod{U}sing the {P}rinciples of {G}ood {P}ractice for {T}ranslation and {C}ultural {A}daptation, the process included: (1) four independent forward translations, (2) reconciliation of simplified definitions, (3) online survey with 16 clinical nurse specialists to assess the content validity of the simplified definitions, (4) back translation, and (5) harmonization to finalize the {F}rench version. {T}he content validity of each construct was assessed using the {C}ontent {V}alidity {I}ndex ({CVI}), with further revisions based on feedback.{R}esults{M}ost participants found the simplified definitions understandable, with an average score of 1.46 (where 1 is "very easy to understand" and 2 is "easy to understand"). {T}hirteen items with lower {I}-{CVI} scores (<= 0.78) were revised. {T}he overall {S}-{CVI} was 0.87, indicating high content validity. {M}inor discrepancies in the back translation were resolved.{C}onclusions{T}his study produced a {F}rench translation of {CFIR} 2.0 with simplified definitions tailored for healthcare practitioners. {T}he high content validity and feedback underscore the need for contextually relevant adaptations to enhance the practical use of the {CFIR} framework. {F}urther testing in diverse {F}rench-speaking contexts is necessary to refine the tool and broaden its applicability in real-world settings.}, keywords = {{I}mplementation {S}cience ; {F}ramework ; {CFIR} ; {C}ultural {A}daptation ; {FRANCE}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{I}mplementation {S}cience {C}ommunications}, volume = {6}, numero = {1}, pages = {29 [8 p.]}, year = {2025}, DOI = {10.1186/s43058-025-00719-8}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010093341}, }
