@article{fdi:010093160, title = {{D}istribution of mosquitoes ({D}iptera: {C}ulicidae) in {T}hailand : a dataset}, author = {{S}ukkanon, {C}. and {S}uwonkerd, {W}. and {T}hanispong, {K}. and {S}aeung, {M}. and {J}haiaun, {P}. and {P}imnon, {S}. and {T}hongkhao, {K}. and {M}anguin, {S}ylvie and {C}hareonviriyaphap, {T}.}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{M}osquitoes play a crucial role as primary vectors for various infectious diseases in {T}hailand. {T}herefore, accurate distribution information is vital for effectively combating and better controlling mosquito-borne diseases. {H}ere, we present a curated dataset of the mosquito distribution in {T}hailand comprising 12,278 records of at least 117 mosquito species ({D}iptera: {C}ulicidae). {T}he main genera included in the dataset are {A}edes, {A}nopheles, {A}rmigeres, {C}ulex, and {M}ansonia. {F}rom 2007 to 2023, data were collected through routine mosquito surveillance and research projects from 1,725 locations across 66 (out of 77) {T}hai provinces. {T}he majority of the data were extracted from a {T}hai database of the {T}hailand {M}alaria {E}limination {P}rogram. {T}o facilitate broader access to mosquito-related data and support further exploration of the {T}hai mosquito fauna, the data were translated into {E}nglish. {O}ur dataset has been published in the {G}lobal {B}iodiversity {I}nformation {F}acility, making it available for researchers worldwide.}, keywords = {{THAILANDE}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{G}igabyte}, volume = {01 septembre 2023}, numero = {}, pages = {en ligne [7 ]}, ISSN = {2709-4715}, year = {2023}, DOI = {10.46471/gigabyte.90}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010093160}, }
