%X The quality of the implementation of a health promotion intervention is essential to ensure its adaptation to the context and needs of populations. However, it is still neglected in research. While it has been undertaken since the 1930s in the study of public policies, the health field is faced with a proliferation of terms that does not facilitate its teaching and organization. This commentary shows that there is no notable difference between implementation research (implementation science) and implementation research. Rather than a semantic debate, it is important to make this analysis more systematic with scientific and interdisciplinary approaches. Research concerning the implementation of a health promotion intervention must seek to understand how to make our actions more equitable and more effective.
