  abstract = {{BACKGROUND} {T}he presence of {A}edes albopictus in {B}olivia has been a subject of controversy, with a lack of concrete documentation. {OBJECTIVES} {T}his study aimed to provide evidence of{A}e. {A}e. albopictus presence in {B}olivia. {METHODS} {L}arval habitats were sampled in {R}osario del {Y}ata and {S}an {A}gustin, {G}uayaramerin {M}unicipality, {B}eni {D}epartment, northern {B}olivia. {C}ollected mosquito larvae were reared to the {L}4 and adult stages for morphological identification, with some specimens sequenced for confirmation. {FINDINGS} {A}edes albopictus was identified in multiple larval habitats within peridomestic areas, such as buckets, canisters, and cut plastic bottles used as flower vases in both localities, confirming its establishment in the area. {T}his represents the first concrete documentation of the species in {B}olivia. {T}he collections (larvae and adults) have been deposited in the {M}edical {E}ntomology {L}aboratory of the {U}niversidad {M}ayor de {S}an {S}imon in {C}ochabamba, {B}olivia, and the {L}aboratory of {E}ntomology of the {I}nstituto {N}acional de {L}aboratorios de {S}alud of the {M}inistry of {H}ealth in {L}a {P}az, {B}olivia. {MAIN} {CONCLUSION} {G}iven its role as a vector for arboviruses such as dengue and {C}hikungunya, {A}e. albopictus should be incorporated into the {B}olivian {N}ational {P}rogramme of {V}ector {C}ontrol for monitoring.},
