  abstract = {{B}etween {J}anuary and {A}ugust 2024, mpox cases have been reported in nearly all provinces of the {D}emocratic {R}epublic of the {C}ongo ({DRC}). {M}onkeypox virus genome sequences were obtained from 11 mpox cases' samples, collected in {J}uly-{A}ugust 2024 in several health zones of {K}inshasa. {C}haracterisation of the sequences showed subclades {I}a and {I}b co-circulating in the {L}imete health zone, while phylogenetic analyses suggested multiple introductions of the two subclades in {K}inshasa. {T}his illustrates the growing complexity of {C}lade {I} mpox outbreaks in {DRC}.},
