  abstract = {{T}wo neotropical species of the {A}libertia group ({G}ardenieae-{R}ubiaceae) are described and illustrated. {C}ordiera longicaudata {C}. {P}ersson & {D}elprete sp. nov. occurs in {P}anama and northwestern {E}cuador ({A}wa {R}eserve) and is characterized by its long drip tips and glabrous to minutely puberulent corollas. {D}uroia valesca {C}. {P}ersson & {D}elprete sp. nov. is from the {A}tlantic forest of {B}razil (states of {E}spirito {S}anto and {M}inas {G}erais) and is distinguished by its heteromorphic calyx lobes that are large, 13-15 x 7-8 mm, elliptic and contorted in female flowers, whereas the calyx lobes of the male flowers are 3-5 x 1-2 mm and narrowly triangular.},
