  abstract = {{I}ntroduction: {A} citizen participation intervention using a toll -free number combined with an interactive voice server to collect citizens' opinions on their health systems was conducted in {B}urkina {F}aso, {B}enin, and the {D}emocratic {R}epublic of {C}ongo between 2020 and 2021. {P}urpose of research: {T}his paper aims to assess the effective-ness, sustainability, and transferability of this m-participation intervention to the health systems strengthening. {R}esults: {T}he analysis shows the relevance of the telephone to include citizens in the governance of sub-{S}aharan health systems. {C}onclusion: {I}nformation and communication technologies are an important support in the quest for better health democracy in sub-{S}aharan {A}frica.},
