  abstract = {{T}he {B}razzaville-{K}inshasa hydrometric stations monitor 98% of the {C}ongo {R}iver catchment. {L}ocated at the outlet of a stilling basin (the giant {M}alebo pool), they measure water levels just upstream of a stable and sensitive control (the {D}joue rapids). {O}nce the offset between the staff gauges of {B}razzaville and {K}inshasa evaluated, a long series could be reconstructed from daily stage readings since 1902. {I}n addition, 154 gaugings have been collected, 139 using mechanical currentmeters in 1955-1962 (85) and 1971-1981 (54), and 15 using an {ADCP} since 2010. {T}he gaugings cover the entire hydrological cycle as well as the main flow phases and almost all the stage range observed over the last 120 years. {T}his work evaluates the stability of the control thanks to the {ADCP} gaugings initiated 30 years after the end of the currentmeter gaugings. {I}t also establishes stage-discharge rating curves with uncertainty estimation, by combining the prior knowledge on the hydraulic controls and the information content of the uncertain gaugings via the {B}ayesian method {B}a{R}atin. {A} first estimate of the moving bed velocity of the {C}ongo {R}iver during floods in the {B}razzaville-{K}inshasa cross-section is presented.},
