@article{fdi:010085164, title = {{F}acteurs associ{\'e}s {\`a} la coadministration des vaccins {\`a} la naissance chez des enfants s{\'e}n{\'e}galais}, author = {{B}assoum, {O}. and {F}aye, {A}. and {S}okhna, {C}heikh and {B}a, {M}. {F}. and {A}nne, {M}. and {B}ocoum, {M}. and {T}al-{D}ia, {A}.}, editor = {}, language = {{FRE}}, abstract = {{I}ntroduction: {C}o-administration of the bilie de {C}almette et {G}uerin ({BCC}) and birth doses of oral polio ({OPV} zero) and hepatitis {B} ({H}ep{B} {BD}) vaccines is strongly recommended. {T}he objective was to determine the factors associated with this co-administration in the health district of {P}odor ({S}enegal). {M}ethods: {T}his cross-sectional study was conducted among 726 children aged 12 to 23 months. {T}his was a two-stage cluster sampling. {T}he data was collected in {J}une 2020. {A}n electronic questionnaire was developed using the {O}pen {D}ata {K}it {C}ollect application. {C}o-administration was modeled as one dose, two doses and three doses. {O}rdinal logistic regression was used to search for factors likely to influence co-administration. {R}esults: {O}f the 726 children, 115 (16%), 234 (32%) and 377 (52%) received a single dose, two and three doses, respectively. {F}actors associated with co-administration were recognition by mothers or caregivers that several vaccines can be administered simultaneously (adjusted {OR} = 1.46, p-value = 0.017), availability of a health record kept at home (adjusted {OR} = 6.88, p-value = 0.006), hospitalization of the newborn after birth (adjusted {OR} = 1.74, p-value = 0.002) and receipt of advice during postnatal care (adjusted {OR} = 1.72, p-value = 0.01). {C}onclusion: {C}o-administration of birth doses is an infrequent practice in {P}odor. {A}wareness and availability and proper maintenance of health information management tools would be necessary.}, keywords = {{C}o-administration ; {B}irth doses ; {V}accination ; {S}enegal ; {SENEGAL}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{S}ant{\'e} {P}ublique}, volume = {33}, numero = {5}, pages = {741--751}, ISSN = {0995-3914}, year = {2021}, DOI = {10.3917/spub.215.0741}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010085164}, }
