  abstract = {{N}ewly collected data from the road transect under construction between {S}angm{\'e}lima and {M}inton have enabled archeologists to understand cultural traditions dating from the second half of the last millennium {BC} and the first half of the first millennium {AD}. {T}hese traditions belong to the {E}arly {I}ron {A}ge and show similarities to contemporary traditions found in the {Y}aounde area, the coastal zone and {A}kon{\'e}tye, all in southern {C}ameroon. {H}owever, they are not entirely comparable and therefore suggest elements of cultural change in the early first millennium {AD}. {A}dditionally, as has already been indicated in the region spanning southern {C}ameroon, northern {G}abon and northern {C}ongo, settlements are abandoned, without apparent replacement, around the sixth century {AD}.},
