  abstract = {{W}e describe a new strain named {B}artonella gabonensis sp. nov. strain 669({T}) ({CSURB}1083). {T}he entire genome of this strain is described here. {I}t was isolated from a savannah rodent, a brush-furred rat ({L}ophuromys sp.), trapped the city of {F}ranceville in {G}abon, in {C}entral {A}frica. {B}. gabonensis is an aerobic, rod-shaped and {G}ram-negative bacterium. {O}n the basis of the organism's features, and following a taxonogenomic approach, we propose the creation of the species {B}artonella gabonensis sp. nov.},
