%X During a brief reconnaissance of small coastal streams in French Guiana, four species of the genus Oecetis were captured. They are the first specific records from this territory. Two species are new and herein described: Oecetis meronai n. sp., the third neotropical species of the testacea species-group and Oecetis hydrecoi n. sp., the first neotropical species of the lais species-group.
