  abstract = {{T}his study provides the length-weight relationship for eleven mesopelagic fishes from oceanic islands of the {S}outhwestern {T}ropical {A}tlantic: {B}onapartia pedaliota, {S}igmops elongatus ({G}onostomatidae), {A}rgyropelecus aculeatus, {A}rgyropelecus affinis, {A}rgyropelecus sladeni, {S}ternoptyx diaphana, {S}ternoptyx pseudobscura ({S}ternoptychidae), {M}alacosteus niger, {T}hysanactis dentex ({S}tomiidae), {M}elanonus zugmayeri ({M}elanonidae), and {E}ctreposebastes imus ({S}etarchidae). {D}ata were collected during a scientific survey (2017) around {R}ocas {A}toll, {F}ernando de {N}oronha {A}rchipelago and adjacent seamounts, using a micronekton trawl (sidelength of body mesh: 40 mm, sidelength of cod-end mesh: 10 mm) at 35 stations from 0 to 1,113 m depth. {A} new maximum standard length for {B}onapartia pedaliota and {E}ctreposebastes imus are also provided.},
