@article{fdi:010070924, title = {{R}etour d'exp{\'e}rience sur la crue du 12 septembre 2015 {\`a} {L}od{\`e}ve ({H}{\'e}rault, {F}rance) : influence du karst sur les d{\'e}bits de pointe de crue}, author = {{B}runet, {P}. and {B}ouvier, {C}hristophe}, editor = {}, language = {{FRE}}, abstract = {{O}n {S}eptember 12th 2015, an exceptional rainfall hit the {L}odeve area ({S}outh {O}f {F}rance). {T}he 24-hours cumulated rainfalls ranged from 300 to 350 mm in most parts of the {L}ergue watershed. {A}t the hourly time step, an intense rain cell was observed over a restricted area, where rainfall amounts reached 85mm in 30min, 140mm in 1h and 220mm in 2h. {T}he {L}ergue {R}iver recorded at {L}odeve its highest discharge since the beginning of the observations, more than 50 years ago. {T}he {L}ergue watershed is characterized by karstic plateau upstream and by poorly permeable {P}ermian sandstone downstream. {T}hus, it was possible to compare hydrological responses of both units. {T}his flashflood analysis was based from operating gauging station (in {L}odeve), a post-flood survey and rainfall data from pluviograph and radar images. {T}he watersheds affected by the rainy area (> 250 mm) show very contrasted hydrological response depending on the geological units. {S}uch differences show the ability of karstic watershed to reduce flashflood by lowering and delaying the peak discharge. {F}inally, these peak flow estimations were compared first to those obtained for other similar events in {F}rance, and second to those calculated by regional formulas of extreme discharge prediction or rainfall-runoff model, in order to validate/ update such formulas and model.}, keywords = {{M}editerranean flood ; extreme event ; karst ; regional estimation ; distributed modelling ; {ZONE} {MEDITERRANEENNE}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{H}ouille {B}lanche : {R}evue {I}nternationale de l'{E}au}, numero = {3}, pages = {39--46}, ISSN = {0018-6368}, year = {2017}, DOI = {10.1051/lhb/2017020}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010070924}, }
