@inproceedings{fdi:010067429, title = {{R}eusing the {NCBO} {B}io{P}ortal technology for agronomy to build {A}gro{P}ortal}, author = {{J}onquet, {C}. and {T}oulet, {A}. and {A}rnaud, {E}. and {A}ubin, {S}. and {D}zal{\'e} {Y}eumo, {E}. and {E}monet, {V}. and {P}esce, {V}. and {L}armande, {P}ierre}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{M}any vocabularies and ontologies are produced to represent and annotate agronomic data. {B}y reusing the {NCBO} {B}io{P}ortal technology, we have already designed and implemented an advanced prototype ontology repository for the agronomy domain. {W}e plan to turn that prototype into a real service to the community. {T}he {A}gro{P}ortal project aims at reusing the scientific outcomes and experience of the biomedical domain in the context of plant, agronomic, food, environment (perhaps animal) sciences. {W}e offer an ontology portal which features ontology hosting, search, versioning, visualization, comment, recommendation, enables semantic annotation, as well as storing and exploiting ontology alignments. {A}ll of these within a fully semantic web compliant infrastructure. {T}he {A}gro{P}ortal specifically pays attention to respect the requirements of the agronomic community in terms of ontology formats (e.g., {SKOS}, trait dictionaries) or supported features. {I}n this paper, we present our prototype as well as preliminary outputs of four driving agronomic use cases. {W}ith the experience acquired in the biomedical domain and building atop of an already existing technology, we think that {A}gro{P}ortal offers a robust and stable reference repository that will become highly valuable for the agronomic domain.}, keywords = {}, numero = {}, pages = {3}, booktitle = {{ICBO} : {I}nternational {C}onference on {B}iomedical {O}ntologies}, year = {2016}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010067429}, }
