  abstract = {{T}he investigation of a small number of earthworms collected in {C}entral {M}adagascar resulted in the discovery of two species new for science, {K}ynotus minutus and {K}ynotus parvus spp. nov. {A}part from the descriptions and illustrations of the new species, the two little-known species {K}ynotus alaotranus {M}ichaelsen, 1907 and {K}ynotus michaelseni {R}osa, 1892 are recorded for the first time after the original description, and commented short diagnoses are provided. {W}ith the two new species described in this paper, the genus {K}ynotus now contains 20 species. {T}he monogeneric earthworm family {K}ynotidae is endemic to {M}adagascar.},
