  abstract = {{U}ne esp{\`e}ce nouvelle end{\'e}mique n{\'e}o-cal{\'e}donienne du genre pantropical {S}caevola {L}., {S}. barrierei {A}.{S}.{W}ulff & {M}unzinger, sp. nov., est d{\'e}crite. {E}lle pousse en maquis ouvert sur substrat ultramafique. {E}lle est caract{\'e}ris{\'e}e par ses feuilles coriaces, pubescentes sur la face abaxiale, ses fleurs jaunes dress{\'e}es, pubescentes ext{\'e}rieurement. {C}ette esp{\`e}ce est consid{\'e}r{\'e}e « en danger critique d_extinction » ({CR}) selon les {C}at{\'e}gories et {C}rit{\`e}res de la {L}iste rouge de l_{UICN}. {A} new narrow endemic endangered species of {S}caevola ({G}oodeniaceae) from {N}ew {C}aledonia. {A} new endemic species of the pantropical genus {S}caevola {L}., {S}. barrierei {A}.{S}.{W}ulff & {M}unzinger, sp. nov. is described from {N}ew {C}aledonia. {I}t grows in open shrub land on ultramafic substrate. {I}t is characterized by its coriaceous and pubescent leafs on the abaxial side and its raised yellow flowers, pubescent on the exterior. {T}his species is preliminarily assigned as "critically endangered" ({CR}) following {IUCN} {R}ed {L}ist {C}ategories and {C}riteria.},
