@article{fdi:010054406, title = {{GA}(3) induces expression of {E}2{F}-like genes and {CDKA} during in vitro germination of zygotic embryos of {C}ocos nucifera ({L}.)}, author = {{M}ontero-{C}ortes, {M}. and {C}ordova, {I}. and {V}erdeil, {J}.{L}. and {H}ocher, {V}al{\'e}rie and {A}ke, {A}.{P}. and {S}andoval, {A}. and {O}ropeza, {C}. and {S}aenz, {L}.}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{P}revious reports have demonstrated that gibberellins promote seed germination, including in vitro germination of zygotic embryos of coconut. {G}enes that control the cell cycle seem to play important roles during germination. {I}n this study, complete full-length sequences of two {E}2{F}-like genes, {C}n{E}2{F}1 and {C}n{E}2{F}2, were obtained. {D}educed amino acid sequences of both genes showed conserved domains characteristic of {E}2{F} genes. {B}oth genes showed high homology with {A}rabidopsis thaliana {E}2{F}a and {E}2{F}b, which are transcriptional activators. {T}he expression profiles of {C}n{E}2{F} genes were evaluated in in vitro zygotic embryos with or without gibberellic acid. {I}n control embryos, expression of {C}n{E}2{F}1 showed a peak at day 2, and, gradually this dropped to similar levels as those at day 0. {G}ibberellic acid ({GA}3) treatment promoted expression at day 2, higher than that of the control. {F}or {C}n{E}2{F}2, peak expression was detected at day 8 of culture. {H}owever, with {GA} treatment, {C}n{E}2{F}2 expression profile increased by day 2. {T}he expression profile of a cyclin-dependent kinase ({C}n{CDKA}), another gene related to the cell cycle control, was also studied. {I}n control embryos, expression of this gene showed two peaks at days 2 and 8, compared with day 0. {A} different profile was shown with {GA} treatment. {I}n general, major changes in expression profiles were observed from days 2-8 when morphological changes in zygotic embryos were not yet observed.}, keywords = {{C}oconut palm ; {C}ell cycle control ; {G}ibberellic acid ; {ZONE} {TROPICALE} ; {MEXIQUE}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{P}lant {C}ell {T}issue and {O}rgan {C}ulture}, volume = {107}, numero = {3}, pages = {461--470}, ISSN = {0167-6857}, year = {2011}, DOI = {10.1007/s11240-011-9996-5}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010054406}, }
