  abstract = {{W}e present here an annotated list of the 91 snake species currently recorded from {T}ogo, {W}est {A}frica. {S}even species are here recorded for the first time from this country: {C}alabaria reinhardtii, {H}apsidophrys lineatus, {L}ycophidion nigromaculatum, {P}hilothamnus carinatus, {L}eptoophlops cf. narirostris, {L}etheobia crossi and {T}yphlops lineolatus. {M}ain morphological data of examined specimens are provided. {S}ome taxonomical problems are pointed out and discussed. {T}he distribution of these species is detailed. {W}e also provide a short discussion on the snake trade in {T}ogo.},
