@article{fdi:010053753, title = {{V}alorisation de substrats organiques divers dans l'agriculture p{\'e}ri-urbaine de {O}uagadougou ({B}urkina {F}aso), pour l'amendement et la fertilisation des sols : acteurs et pratiques}, author = {{K}abor{\'e}, {W}.{T}.{T}. and {H}ien, {E}dmond and {Z}ombre, {P}. and {C}oulibaly, {A}. and {H}ouot, {S}. and {M}asse, {D}ominique}, editor = {}, language = {{FRE}}, abstract = {{C}ette {\'e}tude avait pour objectif d_{\'e}tablir un {\'e}tat des lieux des acteurs de l_agriculture p{\'e}ri-urbaine de {O}uagadougou, leurs pratiques et leurs attentes, et de caract{\'e}riser les substrats organiques ({SO}) utilis{\'e}s. {D}es enqu{\^e}tes ont {\'e}t{\'e} men{\'e}es aupr{\`e}s de 64 personnes (c{\'e}r{\'e}aliers, maraichers et p{\'e}pini{\'e}ristes) al{\'e}atoirement choisies sur les sites les plus repr{\'e}sentatifs de chaque activit{\'e} dans la ville. {U}n {\'e}chantillonnage des {SO} utilis{\'e}s par les acteurs a {\'e}t{\'e} r{\'e}alis{\'e}. {A}insi, 27 substrats ont {\'e}t{\'e} pr{\'e}lev{\'e}s et caract{\'e}ris{\'e}s par des analyses chimiques. {L}e niveau de stabilit{\'e} de chaque substrat a {\'e}t{\'e} d{\'e}termin{\'e} par des incubations en conditions contr{\^o}l{\'e}es. {L}es r{\'e}sultats ont montr{\'e} que 35 % des c{\'e}r{\'e}aliers, 69 % des maraichers et 95 % des p{\'e}pini{\'e}ristes ont un âge compris entre 20 et 40 ans, qu_une large proportion des c{\'e}r{\'e}aliers et des maraichers sont non scolaris{\'e}s, tandis que plus de deux tiers des p{\'e}pini{\'e}ristes ont au moins un niveau primaire. {P}ar ailleurs, pr{\`e}s de trois quart des c{\'e}r{\'e}aliers et des p{\'e}pini{\'e}ristes recourent aux d{\'e}chets municipaux comme source de mati{\`e}re organique contre seulement 17 % des maraichers, la grande majorit{\'e} de ces derniers faisant appel aux fumiers d_{\'e}levage. {L}e principal crit{\`e}re de choix d_utilisation des {SO} est leur disponibilit{\'e}. {M}{\^e}me si une tr{\`e}s large majorit{\'e} des acteurs d{\'e}clare croire les composts de {SO} meilleurs aux {SO} bruts, une minorit{\'e} de ces derniers en utilise. {L}a difficult{\'e} d_acc{\`e}s aux composts en distance et en temps et la promotion des composts par la publicit{\'e} dans les m{\'e}dias sont les principaux aspects {\`a} consid{\'e}rer pour une large adoption et utilisation des composts. {L}es analyses des substrats pr{\'e}lev{\'e}s ont r{\'e}v{\'e}l{\'e} une variabilit{\'e} des propri{\'e}t{\'e}s chimiques et niveaux de stabilit{\'e} au sein du m{\^e}me groupe et entre groupes d_acteurs. {T}outefois, de grandes tendances existent pour les teneurs en carbone organique, azote et phosphore totaux, comme suit : {T}eneur maraichers > {T}eneur c{\'e}r{\'e}aliers > {T}eneur p{\'e}pini{\'e}ristes. {L}es teneurs en {\'e}l{\'e}ments majeurs totaux ({EMT}) s_organisent comme suit : {EMT}maraichers _ {EMT}c{\'e}r{\'e}aliers > {EMT}p{\'e}pini{\'e}ristes. À l_exception de quelques produits atypiques, les substrats des p{\'e}pini{\'e}ristes sont plus stabilis{\'e}s comparativement {\`a} ceux des c{\'e}r{\'e}aliers et des maraichers. {O}rganic substrates recycling in the sub-urban agriculture of {O}uagadougou ({B}urkina {F}aso) for soils fertilization: description of the different actors and their practices. {T}his study aimed to establish an overview of the main actors of the sub-urban agriculture of {O}uagadougou, their practices and expectations, and to characterize the used organic substrates ({OS}). {F}or that, a farm survey was carried out on the most representative sites with 64 persons (cereal farmers, truckers and nurserymen) randomly chosen. {OS} were sampled with each actor, when available. {T}hus, 27 samples were taken and characterized through chemical analyses and laboratory incubations to follow organic carbon mineralization. {T}he results highlighted that 35% of cereal farmers, 69% of truckers and 95% of nurserymen were 20 to 40 years old, that a large proportion of cereal farmers and truckers were not sent to school while 70% of nurserymen had at least primary education. {S}ub-urban agriculture was the only activity for 43% of farmers, 83% of truckers and 91% of nurserymen. {M}oreover, 71% of cereal farmers and 73% of nurserymen used municipal wastes as source of organic matter against only 17% of truckers, the majority of them using animal manures. {T}he main criterion of choice of {OS} was their availability without any other consideration. {E}ven if a large majority of the actors think that composts of {OS} were better than brut {OS}, a minority of them used currently composts. {T}he best ways for an adoption and utilization of {OS} composts were to facilitate their accessibility and to promote these composts, composting techniques and their interests through advertising in mass media. {C}hemical analyses and laboratory incubations showed a great variability of the {SUW}, both in the same group and actors' groups. {H}owever, in case of total organic carbon, total nitrogen and total phosphorous contents, the following tendencies were observed: {C}ontent(truckers) > {C}ontent(farmers) > {C}ontent(nurserymen). {F}or the sum of major elements {C}a, {K}, {M}g, {N}a ({SME}), it was observed that {SME}truckers approximate to {SME}farmers > {SME}nurserymen. {I}n addition, except a few atypical substrates, {OS} used by nurserymen were largely stabilized compared to those of cereal farmers and truckers.}, keywords = {{A}ctors ; sub-urban agriculture ; organic substrate ; municipal solid ; waste ; stability ; urban composts ; adoption ; {B}urkina {F}aso}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{B}iotechnologie {A}gronomie {S}oci{\'e}t{\'e} et {E}nvironnement}, volume = {15}, numero = {2}, pages = {271--286}, ISSN = {1370-6233}, year = {2011}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010053753}, }
