  abstract = {{T}riatoma arthurneivai {L}ent & {M}artins and {T}riatoma wygodzinskyi {L}ent ({H}emiptera: {R}eduviidae) are two {B}razilian species found in the sylvatic environment. {S}everal authors may have misidentified {T}. arthurneivai and consequently published erroneous information. {T}his work reports the use of geometric morphometric analysis on wings in order to differentiate {T}. arthurneivai and {T}. wygodzinskyi, and thus to detect possible misidentifications. {T}riatomines collected from the field in the states of {M}inas {G}erais and {S}ao {P}aulo, and from laboratory colonies, were used. {A}nalyses show a clear differentiation between specimens of {T}. arthurneivai and {T}. wygodzinskyi. {T}his indicates that {T}. arthurneivai populations from {S}ao {P}aulo state were misidentified and should be considered as {T}. wygodzinskyi. {T}his study also suggests that {T}. arthurneivai is an endemic species from {S}erra do {C}ipo, {M}inas {G}erais state.},
