@article{fdi:010042796, title = {{G}enetic diversity of native bradyrhizobia isolated from soybeans ({G}lycine max {L}.) in different agricultural-ecological-climatic regions of {I}ndia}, author = {{A}ppunu, {C}. and {N}'{Z}oue, {A}ng{\`e}le and {L}aguerre, {G}.}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{F}ifty isolates from root nodules of soybean plants sampled in five agricultural-ecological-climatic regions of {I}ndia were analyzed by {PCR}-restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis of the 16{S} r{RNA} gene, the intergenic spacer region between the 16{S} and 23{S} r{RNA} genes ({IGS}), and the nif{H} and nod{C} genes. {E}ight haplotypes assigned to the {B}radyrhizobium genus were identified, and the genetic diversity was conserved across regions. {S}equence analyses of the {IGS} and the dna{K}, gln{II}, rec{A}, and nif{H} genes revealed three groups. {O}ne of them (26% of isolates) was assigned to {B}radyrhizobium liaoningense. {A} second group (36% of isolates) was identified as {B}. yuanmingense but likely forms a new biovar able to nodulate soybean plants. {T}he third lineage (38% of isolates) was different from all described {B}radyrhizobium species but showed the same symbiotic genotype as {B}. liaoningense and {B}. japonicum bv. glycinearum.}, keywords = {}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{A}pplied and {E}nvironmental {M}icrobiology}, volume = {74}, numero = {19}, pages = {5991--5996}, ISSN = {0099-2240}, year = {2008}, DOI = {10.1128/aem.01320-08}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010042796}, }
