( {R}ubiaceae) have come to light and are described and illustrated herein: {I}xora jourdanii {M}ouly and {J}.{F}lorence, {I}xora tahuataensis {M}ouly and {J}.{F}lorence, {I}xora uahukaensis {L}orence and {W}.{L}.{W}agner, and {I}xora uapouensis {L}orence and {W}.{L}.{W}agner. {I}n addition to these new taxa, the following three species of {I}xora previously described from the {M}arquesas are recognized: {I}xora marquesensis {F}. {B}r., {I}xora ooumuensis {J}.{F}lorence, and {I}xora spathoidea {F}. {B}r. {A}s the {M}arquesan environment is under serious threat from human impact, feral animals and weeds, the conservation status was estimated for each {I}xora species. {I}t is concluded that all {M}arquesan taxa are in need of inclusion in the {IUCN} {R}ed {L}ist, their status ranging from endangered to critically endangered.}, keywords = {conservation ; endemism ; {I}xoreae ; myrmecophily}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{B}otanical {J}ournal of the {L}innean {S}ociety}, volume = {155}, numero = {4}, pages = {581--597}, ISSN = {0024-4074}, year = {2007}, DOI = {10.1111/j.1095-8339.2007.00732.x}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010040871}, }
