  abstract = {{A}nopheles gambiae s.s. {G}iles ({D}iptera: {C}ulicidae), the primary {A}frican malaria vector, has been characterized at the subspecies level in {M}adagascar, where only the molecular form {S} and haplotype g{IA} occur. {T}he haplotype g{IC} proposed by other authors was not observed amongst the 35 mosquito genomes sequenced. {T}hese {S}/g{IA} characteristics are also found on the {C}omoros archipelago and in continental {A}frica.},
