  abstract = {{I}n the {Z}agros {B}asin (southwestern {I}ran), a 270 m thick section of shales, marls, marly limestones and limestones of the {K}azhdumi {F}ormation has yielded a diverse ammonite fauna which allowed for a detailed biostratigraphic zonation. {A}ptian ammonites of the families {D}eshayesitidae and {P}arahoplitidae occur indicating a latest early to late {A}ptian age. {A}lbian {D}ouvilleiceratidae, {L}yelliceratidae and {B}rancoceratidae indicate early, middle and late {A}lbian age. {T}heir range and generic and specific determinations are tabulated and illustrated.},
