@article{PAR00010111, title = {{M}antle source heterogeneity for {S}outh {T}yrrhenian magmas revealed by {P}b isotopes and halogen contents of olivine-hosted melt inclusions}, author = {{R}ose-{K}oga, {E}. {F}. and {K}oga, {K}. {T}. and {S}chiano, {P}ierre and {L}e {V}oyer, {M}. and {S}himizu, {N}. and {W}hitehouse, {M}. {J}. and {C}locchiatti, {R}.}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{N}ineteen olivine-hosted melt inclusions from seven volcanoes ({E}tna, {S}tromboli, {V}ulcano, {U}stica, {A}licudi, {M}arsili and {V}avilov) from the southern {I}taly region were analyzed for abundances of major, trace, and volatile elements, along with {P}b isotope ratios ({P}b-207/{P}b-206, {P}b-208/{P}b-206 and {P}b-206/{P}b-204). {T}he systematics of primary volatile (in particular {F} and {C}l) compositions and {P}b isotopes identify three main geochemically distinct mantle sources for this region: (1) a component with radiogenic {P}b ({P}b-207/{P}b-206 = 0.780) and low volatile element abundances typified by the {E}tnean melt inclusions, (2) a component with moderately radiogenic {P}b ({P}b-207/{P}b-206 = 0.798) and high volatile abundance mainly associated with {S}ommata magmas, and (3) a component with moderate volatile abundances associated with a {MORB}-like {P}b-207/{P}b-206 (0.830). {T}he variation of {F}/{N}d and {P}b isotopes among the southern {I}taly melt inclusions reflects mixing between a slightly modified depleted mantle ({DMM}-{EMII} mixture) and radiogenic ({HIMU}-like) mantle components expressed in {P}b isotope space, superimposed by slab-derived metasomatic components represented by {F}/{N}d ({F}/{N}d > 30).}, keywords = {{M}elt inclusion ; {P}b isotopes ; {V}olatile elements ; {H}alogen ; {A}rc magma ; {I}taly ; {ITALIE}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{C}hemical {G}eology}, volume = {334}, numero = {}, pages = {266--279}, ISSN = {0009-2541}, year = {2012}, DOI = {10.1016/j.chemgeo.2012.10.033}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/{PAR}00010111}, }
