  abstract = {{I}n {N}ovember 2007 and {N}ovember 2008, we conducted a bird and mammal survey on {W}allis and {F}utuna. {W}e found two non-native bird species on {W}allis: the {C}ommon {M}yna ({A}cridotheres tristis) and the {C}hestnut-breasted {M}unia ({L}onchura castaneothorax), and one on {F}utuna: the {J}ungle {M}yna ({A}cridotheres fuscus). {W}e also recorded {B}lack {R}ats ({R}attus rattus) on {F}utuna, a recent introduction to this island. {T}he introduction of 3 bird species and {B}lack {R}ats in the last decade denotes a lack of preventive measures and demonstrates that the issue of invasive species has not received sufficient priority.},
