@article{PAR00003243, title = {{P}etrogenesis of the late-orogenic {B}ravo granite and surrounding high-grade country rocks in the {P}alaeoproterozoic orogen of ltabuna-{S}alvador-{C}uraca block, {B}ahia, {B}razil}, author = {{B}arbosa, {J}. {F}. {S}. and {P}eucat, {J}. {J}. and {M}artin, {H}. and da {S}ilva, {F}. {A}. and de {M}oraes, {A}. {M}. and {C}orrea-{G}omes, {L}. {C}. and {S}abat{\'e}, {P}ierre and {M}arinho, {M}. {M}. and {F}anning, {C}. {M}.}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{I}n the {S}ao {F}rancisco {C}raton, in {B}ahia state, {B}razil, four {A}rchaean crustal segments collided during the {P}alaeoproterozoic to form the important ltabuna-{S}alvador-{C}uraca {O}rogen ({ISCO}). {G}ranulites were formed in the central, deepest part of the {ISCO} while rocks in amphibolite to greenschist facies were formed at the borders. {D}uring the uplift of the orogen shear zones, faults and fractures provided channels for the intrusion of granites and syenites into the granulitic country rocks which reached higher crustal levels. {T}his article reports a study of the {B}ravo granite with a zircon {U}-{P}b {SHRIMP} age of 2060 +/- 6 {M}a, and of its granulite host rocks formed from {A}rchaean and {P}alaeoproterozoic protoliths in the {B}ravo and {T}anquinho regions. {T}he metamorphic peak occurred between 2064 +/- 6 {M}a and 2060 +/- 6 {M}a in the {B}ravo region. {T}he {B}ravo granite is mostly metaluminous and alkaline due to high {K}2{O} contents (4.03-5.95%) which confer high-{K} to shoshonitic affinities. {I}t is slightly younger than syenites of the orogen ({I}tiuba, 2084 +/- 9 {M}a; {S}ao {F}elix, 2098 +/- 1 {M}a) which are cut by late felsic veins chemically similar to the {B}ravo granite. {T}he granulitic rocks form a peraluminous, medium-{K} calc-alkaline {TTG} suite. {I}t is proposed that residual liquids represented by the vein rocks and the {B}ravo granite escaped from the syenitic cumulates, and migrated upwards through crustal discontinuities formed during the uplift of the {ISCO}.}, keywords = {{S}ao {F}rancisco {C}raton ; ltabuna-{S}alvador-{C}uraca orogen ; {P}alaeoproterozoic ; {G}ranulite ; {B}razil}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{P}recambrian {R}esearch}, volume = {167}, numero = {1-2}, pages = {35--52}, ISSN = {0301-9268}, year = {2008}, DOI = {10.1016/j.precamres.2008.06.002}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/{PAR}00003243}, }
