Marine ecosystems alter under the impact of climatic variations and human activities. Very little is known however about this evolution which has considerable significance for fisheries and other means of exploitation of the ocean resources, particularly if the predicted global warming actually takes place in the next few decades. These changes can be analysed at a fairly moderate sampling cost, by carefully selecting physical and biological parameters to monitor coastal stations. Long-term data sets could later be used to test hypotheses and models. (Résumé d'auteur)
