@article{fdi:010088404, title = {{M}arinobacter vinifirmus sp nov., a moderately halophilic bacterium isolated from a wine-barrel-decalcification wastewater}, author = {{L}iebgott, {P}ierre-{P}ol and {C}asalot, {L}aurence and {P}aillard, {S}{\'e}bastien and {L}orquin, {J}ean and {L}abat, {M}arc}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{A} halophilic, {G}ram-negative, motile, non-sporulating bacterium designated strain {FIB}1({T}) was isolated from a wine-barrel-decalcification wastewater. {T}he organism comprises straight rods and has a strictly respiratory metabolism with {O}-2. {S}train {FB}1({T}) grows optimally at 20-30 degrees {C} and 5-6% {N}a{C}l. {T}he predominant fatty acids were found to be {C}-18:1 omega 9c (30.4%), {C}-16:0 (25-7%), {C}-12:0 3-{OH} (10.3%), {C}-16:1 omega 9c (9.7%) and {C}-16:1 omega 7c (8.4%). {A} phylogenetic analysis based on 16{S} r{RNA} gene sequences revealed that the strain forms a coherent cluster within the genus {M}arinobacter. {T}he highest level of 16{S} r{RNA} gene sequence similarity (97.9%) exhibited by strain {FB}1({T}) was with the type strain of {M}arinobacter excellens. {H}owever, the level of {DNA}-{DNA} relatedness between the novel strain and {M}. excellens {CIP} 107686 {T} was only 31.2%. {T}he {DNA} {G} + {C} content of strain {FB}1({T}) was 58-7 mol%. {O}n the basis of phenotypic and genotypic characteristics, and also phylogenetic evidence, strain {FB}1({T}) is considered to represent a novel species of the genus {M}arinobacter, for which the name {M}arinobacter vinifirmus sp. nov. is proposed. {T}he type strain is {FB}1({T}) (={DSM} 17747({T}) = {CCUG} 52119({T})).}, keywords = {}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{I}nternational {J}ournal of {S}ystematic and {E}volutionary {M}icrobiology}, volume = {56}, numero = {11}, pages = {2511--2516}, ISSN = {1466-5026}, year = {2006}, DOI = {10.1099/ijs.0.64368-0}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010088404}, }
