  abstract = {{T}axonomic notes are made on the {M}alpighiales of {N}ew {C}aledonia. {T}he names {A}cridocarpus austrocaledonicus {B}aill. ({M}alpighiaceae), {C}rossostylis grandiflora {B}rongn. & {G}ris, {C}. multiflora {B}rongn. & {G}ris, {C}. sebertii {P}ancher ex {B}rongn. & {G}ris ({R}hizophoraceae), and {E}rythroxylum novocaledonicum {O}.{E}.{S}chultz ({E}rythroxylaceae) are lectotypified. {B}ased on published molecular phylogenetic and morphological evidence, {L}asiochlamys {P}ax & {K}.{H}offm. is better treated as a synonym of {X}ylosma {G}.{F}orst. ({S}alicaceae), and five new combinations and one new name are provided to implement this change.},
