  abstract = {{A}n inventory has been made of the decapod fauna of the {G}lorieuses {I}slands, western {I}ndian {O}cean ({WIO}), following the {BIORECIE} 2 {E}xpedition to the {I}slands, 5–17 {D}ecember 2012. {F}ield data are complemented by a review of taxonomic studies for these islands. {O}verall 157 species are now reported from the {G}lorieuses {I}slands, including 61 new records. {T}he presence of the coconut crab, {B}irgus latro, is confirmed from these islands, for the first time since 1884, and the {WIO} distribution of this endangered species is updated, based on observations made in the region since 2006.},
