  abstract = {{T}he {C}rustacea {D}ecapoda of {E}uropa {I}sland have been inventoried during the {BIORECIE} fieldwork conducted from 7-12 {N}ovember 2011. {P}revious records for {E}uropa {I}sland have been also compiled and an updated documented checklist of the species is proposed. {I}n total, 175 decapods are reported for {E}uropa {I}sland, including 61 new records from this study. {T}he fauna of {E}uropa {I}sland is mainly {I}ndo-{W}est {P}acific in its composition. {N}o endemic species have been recognized so far, but 15 species, such as {C}alcinus rosaceus, {C}iliopagurus tricolor, {E}riphia smithii or {G}rapsus fourmanoiri, are distinctive of the {W}estern {I}ndian {O}cean region. {A} comparison with {M}ayotte {I}sland, also recently inventoried for the decapods, shows that {E}uropa {I}sland fauna is slightly depauperate. {T}his result is attributed to reduced size of the lagoon and mangroves as well as to the geographic isolation of the {I}sland.},
