({D}iptera: {C}ulicidae) and {A}nopheles gambiae ({G}iles) ({D}iptera: {C}ulicidae) of water-containing plant matter ({PM}) alone, or in association with an {NPK} type of fertilizer ({PM}+{NPK}), were evaluated. {T}o obtain a 20% imaginal emergence of {A}n. gambiae ({IE}t20), the bioassays carried out with {PM} have evidenced that its larvae need four times as much food as for {A}e. aegypti larvae. {T}he {PM}+{NPK} combinations significantly improve the survival rates of both mosquitoes multiplying the percentages of imaginal emergence by 1.7-3 (synergistic effect). {T}he log-probit analysis of the adult emergence also reveals that the environments containing fertilizers accelerates by two to four times the development of the mosquito larvae.}, keywords = {{A}edes aegypti ; {A}nopheles gambiae ; plant material ; fertilizer ; synergistic effect}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{J}ournal of {M}edical {E}ntomology}, volume = {55}, numero = {2}, pages = {496--500}, ISSN = {0022-2585}, year = {2018}, DOI = {10.1093/jme/tjx231}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010072719}, }
