@article{fdi:010072501, title = {{D}iversity of plant-parasitic nematode communities associated with olive nurseries in {M}orocco : origin and environmental impacts}, author = {{H}amza, {M}. {A}. and {M}oukhli, {A}. and {F}erji, {Z}. and {F}ossati, {O}dile and {T}avoillot, {J}ohannes and {A}li, {N}. and {B}oubaker, {H}. and {E}l {M}ousadik, {A}. and {M}ateille, {T}hierry}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{P}lant-parasitic nematodes ({PPN}) are key impediments to efficient global crop production and impair the quality of susceptible plants in nurseries as well. {I}n this context, nematode communities were determined in 305 solid substrate samples collected from 25 olive ({O}lea. europaea. subsp. europaea) nurseries in {M}orocco. {T}axonomical and functional diversity as well as the structures of {PPN} communities were described and then compared between regions, cultivars as well as according to biotic and abiotic factors. {A} high diversity of {PPN} was observed, with the detection of 63 species and 26 genera. {T}he most dominant taxa detected were spiral nematodes ({H}elicotylenchus spp. and {R}otylenchus spp.), stunt nematodes ({T}ylenchorhynchus spp.), grazer nematodes ({T}ylenchus spp.) and root-knot nematodes ({M}eloidogyne spp.). {H}oplolaimidae nematodes ({H}elicotylenchus spp. and {R}otylenchus spp.) and {T}ylenchus spp. were better adapted to rainy conditions that prevailed in the northern regions of {M}orocco. {M}ultiblock analyses demonstrated that functional diversity (cp and trophic groups) was more affected by the environment than taxonomical diversity (total number, species richness, locale diversity and evenness). {T}hey also indicated that {PPN} communities were more impacted by climatic variables (rainfall and minimum temperature) and nursery substrate origins than by soil physic-chemical factors. {N}evertheless, a co-inertia analysis showed that {N}, {P} and {K} amendments in olive nurseries enhanced the development of harmful {PPN}, especially root-knot nematodes.}, keywords = {{B}iodiversity ; {N}ursery ; {O}live ; {P}lant-parasitic nematode ; {S}oil ecology ; {MAROC}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{A}pplied {S}oil {E}cology}, volume = {124}, numero = {}, pages = {7--16}, ISSN = {0929-1393}, year = {2018}, DOI = {10.1016/j.apsoil.2017.10.019}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010072501}, }
