  abstract = {{T}he 11 {M}alagasy species of the genus {E}cnomus {M}c{L}achlan, 1864 that do not belong to the psychomyiellodes species group are studied. {O}ne of them ({E}cnomus salgiel {M}alicky, 2015) was recently described from {N}osy {B}e {I}sland. {T}en are new and described: {E}cnomus felix n.sp., {E}. dobignyi n.sp., {E}. matsaboryi n.sp., {E}. granjoni n.sp., {E}. commersoni n. sp., {E}. menavavae n. sp., {E}. ikopaensis n. sp., {E}. rubermortis n. sp., {E}. evidens n. sp., and {E}. tendroensis n. sp. {A}ll are endemic to {M}adagascar. {T}heir distributions on the island are briefly described according to ecological data.},
