@article{fdi:010072006, title = {{M}olecular phylogeny of the genus {B}olusiella ({O}rchidaceae, {A}ngraecinae)}, author = {{V}erlynde, {S}. and {D}'{H}aese, {C}. {A}. and {P}lunkett, {G}. {M}. and {S}imo-{D}roissart, {M}. and {E}dwards, {M}. and {D}roissart, {V}incent and {S}tevart, {T}.}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{R}ecent molecular studies have suggested the monophyly of {B}olusiella, a small orchid genus comprising five species and one subspecies from {C}ontinental {A}frica, but sampling has been limited. {U}sing the species delimitation presented in the recent taxonomic revision of the genus, this study aimed to confirm the monophyly of {B}olusiella and assess the interspecific relationships using a comprehensive sampling and various analytical methods. {DNA} sequences of one nuclear spacer region ({ITS}-1) and five plastid regions (mat{K}, rps16, trn{L}-trn{F}, trn{C}-pet{N}, and ycf1) from 20 specimens representing all five species of the genus were analyzed using static homology, dynamic homology, and {B}ayesian methods. {T}he monophyly of both the genus {B}olusiella and each of its five species was confirmed, corroborating the previously published taxonomic revision. {T}he use of dynamic homology methods was not conclusive for this particular group. {T}he results of the total evidence analysis (combining all six sequence regions) using the dynamic homology approach yielded a slightly different hypothesis regarding interspecific relationships (namely the exchange of {B}. talbotii and {B}olusiella iridifolia as the earliest diverging lineage), probably because the nodes in question are supported by a small subset of conflicting characters, compared to the hypotheses resulting from the static homology and {B}ayesian methods, which are congruent with the results of previous studies.}, keywords = {{A}frica ; {A}ngraecoid orchids ; {D}ynamic homology ; {P}hylogenetic ; classification methods ; {S}tatic homology ; {AFRIQUE}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{P}lant {S}ystematics and {E}volution}, volume = {304}, numero = {2}, pages = {269--279}, ISSN = {0378-2697}, year = {2018}, DOI = {10.1007/s00606-017-1474-z}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010072006}, }
