  abstract = {{C}raterispermum capitatum and {C}. gabonicum, two new species of {R}ubiaceae, are described from the {L}ower {G}uinea and {C}ongolian {D}omains. {D}etailed descriptions and distribution maps are provided for each species, their conservation status is assessed and their taxonomic affinities are discussed. {C}raterispermum gabonicum is unique within the genus because of the strong dimorphism in brevistylous and longistylous flowers and inflorescences. {W}e hypothesize that this species shows some form of dioecy. {T}he distribution of {C}. capitatum shows a wide disjunction: the species is present in the {L}ower {G}uinean and {C}ongolian {D}omains but absent from {G}abon and {S}outh {C}ameroon. {A}n identification key for the {C}raterispermum species present in the {L}ower {G}uinean and {C}ongolian {D}omains is given.},
