@article{fdi:010070477, title = {{D}istribution of heavy metals in surface water, suspended particulate matter, sediment and clam ({M}eretrix {L}yrata) from downstream of {S}aigon-{D}ong {N}ai river, {V}ietnam}, author = {{T}ran {T}uan {V}iet and {N}guyen {D}uy {K}hanh and {N}guyen {P}hu {B}ao and {N}guyen {N}hu {S}ang and {D}inh {Q}uoc {T}uc and {N}guyen {P}huoc {D}an and {S}trady, {E}milie and {H}an, {S}.}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{T}his study aimed to evaluate distribution of selected heavy metals ({C}u, {Z}n, {P}b, {C}r and {C}d) in clams {M}eretrixlyrata (clam), suspended particulate matter ({SPM}), water and sediment in the downstream area of {S}aigon - {D}ong {N}ai ({SG}-{DN}) {R}iver. {D}uring {M}arch to {S}eptember 2015, the contamination of those metals at four sampling sites from fresh water to brackish water zone and {M}eretrix {L}yrata clams, which were cultured at many clam farms at {C}an {T}hanh beach at {C}an {G}io {D}istrict, were monitored. {T}he concentrations of metals in clam samples were also determined at a comparative sampling site at {T}an {T}hanh beach ({T}ien {G}iang province). {G}enerally, the order of metal concentrations in all environmental components along the {SG}-{DN} {R}iver was {Z}n>{C}u>{C}r>{P}b>{C}d while the metal concentrations in different environmental components at {C}an {T}hanh area were in different orders. {A}ccording to the results, the increasing tendency of only {C}u, {Z}n and {C}d concentrations in {SPM} and sediment from river upstream to estuary were found. {A}ll trace metal concentrations in clam samples were higher than in water and smaller than in sediment and {SPM} at {C}an {T}hanh. {O}nly {C}r concentrations in medium and small clam samples had positive significant correlations with those in sediment and {SPM} (medium size only). {I}n comparison with concentrations of trace metals in water, sediment, {SPM} and clams at {T}an {T}hanh, those at {C}an {T}hanh were higher.}, keywords = {{VIET} {NAM}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{K}hoa {H}oc {V}a {C}ong {N}ghe = {J}ournal of {S}cience and {T}echnology}, volume = {54}, numero = {2{A}}, pages = {207--213}, ISSN = {0866-708{X}}, year = {2016}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010070477}, }
