  abstract = {{H}ost specimens were sampled in the middle course of the {R}iver {S}anaga ({C}ameroon) from {J}anuary to {O}ctober 2014. {T}wo new species, {P}rotoancylodiscoides auratum n. sp. from {C}hrysichthys auratus and {P}rotoancylodiscoides combesi n. sp. from {C}. auratus, {C}hrysichthys nigrodigitatus and {C}hrysichthys longidorsalis, are herein described. {T}hese new helminths differ from the congeneric species by the size of the haptoral sclerites, the male copulatory organ length, the diameter and morphology of the vagina. {A}t this stage, the present study suggests that {P}rotoancylodiscoides auratum is oioxenous, while {P}. combesi is stenoxenous. {T}he two new {P}rotoancylodiscoides species bring to three the number of those parasitizing {C}. auratus, and to four the number of those described from {C}hrysichthys spp.},
