  abstract = {{T}he new genus {M}urmurillana {D}elorme gen. nov., is described within the tribe {C}icadettini {B}uckton, 1889, designating {M}urmurillana inaudibilis {D}elorme sp. nov., as the type species. {M}urmurillana inaudibilis {D}elorme sp. nov. and {M}urmurillana paenetacita {D}elorme sp. nov. are described from {N}ew {C}aledonia. {T}hey are respectively found in mid altitude dense {N}iaouli shrub ({M}elaleuca quinquenervia, {M}yrtaceae) vegetation, mixed with dense fern cover ({P}teridium sp., {D}ennstaedtiaceae) on the {M}assif of {A}oupinie (800 m) and on foothills of the {M}ont {P}anie (570 m). {M}ale calling songs of the two new species are described from field recordings. {T}hese calling songs exhibit unusually high dominant frequencies. {A} key to the species of {M}urmurillana {D}elorme gen. nov., is also provided.},
