({L}auraceae)}, author = {{M}unzinger, {J}{\'e}r{\^o}me and {M}c{P}herson, {G}.}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{T}hree endemic new species of {C}ryptocarya {R}.{B}r. are described from {N}ew {C}aledonia. {C}ryptocarya adpressa {M}unzinger & {M}c{P}herson, sp. nov., is a small-leaved, pinnately veined species resembling species such as {C}. leptospermoides {K}osterm. and {C}. gracilis {S}chltr., but differing most notably in its persistent and strongly appressed indument of the inflorescence. {C}ryptocarya barrabeae {M}unzinger & {M}c{P}herson, sp. nov., resembles {C}. pluricostata but can be distinguished most easily by its elliptical leaf shape and longer, straighter indument. {C}ryptocarya chrysea {M}unzinger & {M}c{P}herson, sp. nov., resembles {C}. guillauminii {K}osterm. in its ovate, densely and persistently pubescent leaves with ascendant lateral veins, but differs most notably in its prominently lenticellate stems and abaxially golden leaves. {A}ll three new species are trees occurring in dense humid forest. {T}wo are restricted to non-ultramafic substrate while {C}. chrysea, sp. nov., occurs on both substrates. {T}hey are all known from at least three protected areas, and do not appear to be threatened; thus they are all assigned a preliminarily {L}east {C}oncern {IUCN} status.}, keywords = {{NOUVELLE} {CALEDONIE}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{A}dansonia}, volume = {38}, numero = {2}, pages = {165--174}, ISSN = {1280-8571}, year = {2016}, DOI = {10.5252/a2016n2a3}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010067425}, }
