@article{fdi:010065516, title = {{R}eclassification of {A}cetomicrobium faecale as {C}aldicoprobacter faecalis comb. nov.}, author = {{B}ouanane-{D}arenfed, {A}. and {B}en {H}ania, {W}ajdi and {C}ayol, {J}. {L}. and {O}llivier, {B}ernard and {F}ardeau, {M}arie-{L}aure}, editor = {}, language = {{ENG}}, abstract = {{T}aking into account its phenotypical and genetic characteristics, {A}cetomicrobium faecale was first recognized as a member of the genus {A}cetomicrobium, family {B}acteroidaceae, order {B}acteroidales, phylum {B}acteroidetes, with {A}cetomicrobium flavidum the type species of the genus. {H}owever, it was found that {A}. faecale had 95.8 %, 97.6 % and 98.4 % similarity, respectively, with {C}aldicoprobacter guelmensis, {C}aldicoprobacter algeriensis and {C}aldicoprobacter oshimai and only 82 % similarity with {A}. flavidum. {T}he {DNA} {G}+{C} content of {A}. faecale is 45 mol, which is of the same order as the {DNA} {G}+{C} content of the three strains of species of the genus {C}aldicoprobacter and its main fatty acid is {C}-16:0, with its second most prominent fatty acid, iso-{C}-17:0, also common to strains of species of the genus {C}aldicoprobacter. {O}n the basis of further phylogenetic, genetic and chemotaxonomic studies, we propose that {A}. faecale (type strain {DSM} 20678({T})={JCM} 30420({T})) be reclassified as {C}aldicoprobacter faecalis comb. nov.}, keywords = {}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{I}nternational {J}ournal of {S}ystematic and {E}volutionary {M}icrobiology}, volume = {65}, numero = {10}, pages = {3286--3288}, ISSN = {1466-5026}, year = {2015}, DOI = {10.1099/ijsem.0.000409}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010065516}, }
