  abstract = {{T}he ongoing {R}ubiaceae treatment for the {F}lora of the {G}uianas prompted a detailed study of the rubiaceous taxa described by {A}ublet ("{F}usee {A}ublet"), one of the earliest botanists to collect in {S}outh {A}merica. {T}his study led to the recognition that a publication by {L}anjouw and {U}ittien in 1940 wherein the authors reported the discovery of an additional set of {A}ublet specimens in the {J}ean-{J}acques {R}ousseau herbarium ({P}-{JJR}) also included many previously unrecognized typifications of {A}ublet names. {T}his study presents the typifications of the 26 generic and 53 specific {R}ubiaceae epithets introduced by {A}ublet in his {H}istoire. {T}he new combinations {C}oussarea lutea and {S}chradera scandens are also proposed.},
