@article{fdi:010064880, title = {{C}omposition et variations spatio-temporelles du r{\'e}gime alimentaire de {T}rachurus trachurus ({C}arangidae) de la c{\^o}te atlantique marocaine}, author = {{W}ahbi, {F}. and {L}e {L}oc'h, {F}ran{\c{c}}ois and {B}erreho, {A}. and {B}enazzouz, {A}. and {B}en {M}hmed, {A}. and {E}rrhif, {A}.}, editor = {}, language = {{FRE}}, abstract = {{A} study of the diet of the {A}tlantic horse mackerel {T}rachurus trachurus ({L}innaeus, 1758) was carried out on the {A}tlantic coast of {S}outhern {M}orocco, located from {C}ap {B}oujdour to {C}ap {B}lanc (26 degrees 30'{N}-21 degrees {N} latitude). {T}his area is characterized by a permanent upwelling and is among the highly productive ecosystems of the worldwide ocean. {T}he diet of {T}. trachurus was studied through qualitative and quantitative analysis of stomach contents. {S}amples were collected during the warm ({J}une-{J}uly-{A}ugust) and the cold seasons ({N}ovember-{D}ecember) in 2007 and 2008. {A}coustic surveys were carried out on board of the {M}oroccan {A}mir {M}oulay {A}bdellah and the {R}ussian {A}tlantida oceanographic vessels. {A} total of 456 stomachs were analyzed, exhibiting a diversified food spectrum. {A}ccording to the results of the index of relative importance (%{IRI}), which takes into account weight, number and frequency of occurrence, the pelagic crustaceans (%{IRI} = 80.15%), mainly {C}opepoda, are considered the preferential prey for {T}. trachurus. {M}olluscs (%{IRI} = 16.76%) are secondary prey and fishes (%{IRI} = 2.91%) are complementary prey while {S}iphonophora, {C}haetognatha, {A}ppendicularian and {A}nnelids polycheata are accidental prey (%{IRI} < 1%). {A} {P}rincipal {C}omponent {A}nalysis combined with a permutation test highlighted a significant difference in diet according to the sampling periods. {A} {MANOVA} test applied to the survey periods, the latitudinal position of the stations, the depth of trawling and size of individuals highlighted the determinant factors of this variation. {I}t appears that {T}. trachurus exhibits significant diet variability with high thresholds for season and space factors.}, keywords = {{C}arangidae ; {T}rachurus trachurus ; {A}tlantic ; {M}orocco ; {D}iet ; {ATLANTIQUE} ; {MAROC}}, booktitle = {}, journal = {{C}ybium}, volume = {39}, numero = {2}, pages = {131--142}, ISSN = {0399-0974}, year = {2015}, URL = {https://www.documentation.ird.fr/hor/fdi:010064880}, }
