  abstract = {{W}e determined the species diversity, blood-feeding behavior, and host preference of {A}nopheles mosquitoes in two malaria endemic areas of {T}ak ({M}ae {S}ot {D}istrict) and {M}ae {H}ong {S}on ({S}op {M}oei {D}istrict) {P}rovinces, located along the {T}hai border with {M}yanmar, during a consecutive two-year period. {A}nopheline mosquitoes were collected using indoor and outdoor human-landing captures and outdoor cow-baited collections. {M}osquitoes were initially identified using morphological characters, followed by the appropriate multiplex {AS}-{PCR} assay for the identification of sibling species within {A}nopheles ({C}ellia) complexes and groups present. {R}eal-time {PCR} was performed for parasite-specific detection in mosquitoes ({P}lasmodium spp. and {W}uchereria bancrofti). {A} total of 7,129 {A}nopheles females were captured, 3,939 from {M}ae {S}ot and 3,190 from {S}op {M}oei, with 58.6% and 37% of all anophelines identified as {A}n. minimus, respectively. {A}ll three malaria vector complexes were detected in both areas. {O}ne species within the {M}inimus {C}omplex ({A}n. minimus) was present along with two related species in the {F}unestus {G}roup, ({A}n. aconitus, {A}n. varuna), two species within the {D}irus {C}omplex ({A}n. dirus, {A}n. baimaii), and four species within the {M}aculatus {G}roup ({A}n. maculatus, {A}n. sawadwongporni, {A}n. pseudowillmori, and {A}n. dravidicus). {T}he trophic behavior of {A}n. minimus, {A}n. dirus, {A}n. baimaii, {A}n. maculatus, and {A}n. sawadwongporni are described herein. {T}he highest {A}n. minimus densities were detected from {F}ebruary through {A}pril of both years. {O}ne specimen of {A}n. minimus from {M}ae {S}ot was found positive for {P}lasmodium vivax.},
